Starring Colin Farrell, the upcoming comic book drama series, The Penguin, which continues The Batman crime saga which filmmaker Matt Reeves began with the 2022 movie starring Robert Pattinson, has been confirmed to be heading exclusively to Sky and streaming service NOW for UK viewers.

This eight-part Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios drama series stars Farrell as the title character, reprising his role from the film and is set to air later in 2024.

Not only that but UK viewers will be able to watch the show at the same time as the US each week and on demand thereafter.

Colin Farrell is set to return as The Penguin in the new series.

“The Penguin is an outstanding addition to our growing comic slate of films and series,” said Lucy Criddle, Sky Director of Acquisitions and Strategic Projects. “With the grimy world of Gotham City amidst chaos, the story continues The Batman epic crime saga and I’m excited to see Farrell take this iconic character to new heights in this eight-part limited drama series.”

Starring alongside Farrell, the confirmed cast includes Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s Runaways), Michael Kelly (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Damsel), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), Clancy Brown (Gen V), and Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).

The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, Bill Carraro, and Daniel Pipski.

The Penguin will be available exclusively on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW later this year.
