Moana 2 Trailer: Sequel sees Moana and Maui three years after original movie

Check out the new teaser trailer for Walt Disney Animated Studios’ Moana 2, which will be released this November and sees the return of Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and demigod Maui.

Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

The sequel has new directors on board with David Derrick Jr (who worked on the art for Megamind and Disney’s Strange World), Jason Hand (co-writer of Encanto) and Dana Ledoux Miller (who was a producer on TV series, Designated Survivor) taking the helm.

The sequel will feature music by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina. 

Moana 2 will be released in cinemas on 29 November 2024
